The Death Of A Friend
Category : Uncategorised
The death of a close friend can have an impact on health and wellbeing for up to four years, research has found.
As the world focuses on mental health, this research is invaluable.
The data was collected by Stirling University and the Australian National University, from 26,515 people over 14 years, and results found were a range of negative consequences experienced by those who had a close friend die.
Significantly low wellbeing was found both physically and mentally in the four years after losing the person.
Be there for one another. Grief lasts a long time and it affects people in different ways. If you can help someone, call them, take them for a coffee and let them know you are there for them, no matter what, that is certainly a good thing.
